The workshop will use elements and techniques from platform theatre, a form where primarily body and voice is used to create a performance within a limited space.

Apart from performance aspect, the participants will also go through an exercise of essentializing / breaking down the story into events. The story to be performed will be sent to them a few days prior to the workshop.

The participants will be devising a piece over a span of five days with the help of two facilitators. This will be  followed by a presentation on the sixth day.
 

The range of tools that will be introduced will help the actors  to work together and bring discipline into their practice. 

The actor utilizes a limited performance space not just for playing characters but also to have  set, props, costumes and everything else in between. 

It'll facilitate better understanding of spatial relationships on stage among the actors and different possibilities in which they can use their body, gaze and voice to establish characters and spaces.
