We’re an independent theatre trust based out of Bangalore. Tucked away in the cosy Koramangala neighbourhood, we wear many hats. We’re a space, a production house and a theatre education centre.
It all began in 2009 when a bunch of theatre enthusiasts decided to come together to learn, share and experience the magic of theatre. Inspiration led the way as we started with adapting productions and very quickly the urge to tell our own story took over and brought original productions to the stage. Our most groundbreaking work, BHIMA in 2015, attracted audiences from far & wide, a META award and most importantly young actors and amateurs interested to train and collaborate.

Vivek Vijaykumaran
Managing Trustee & Artistic Director
Vivek has been part of a constant learning process for over 12 years, facilitated by some of the most renowned theatre stalwarts and masters. The most recent being a month-long Master-course for the second time at 'The Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski and Thomas Richards ', in Italy. Recipient of the Inlaks India Theatre Award-2012. His work BHIMA has been performed across India to much appreciation and acclaim (since 2015) , including at an international festival in Colombo(2016), and was featured as one of the 10 best plays at META 2017 (Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards) with 7 nominations and 1 win. Since 2015, he has actively worked with over 50 young and upcoming performers in Bangalore, and is slowly moving towards creating a community of disciplined, inspired and hardworking actors. He is also the artistic director at Our Theatre.
Abhitej Gupta
Trustee (Admin) & Actor, Theatre Facilitator
Abhitej is a Bengaluru based actor and facilitator and member of Our Theatre Collective for the past six years. He has been part of over ten plays with various theatre groups in the city. Some of the recent productions he has acted in are - Just Hiss, Apne Ghar Jaisa and Imagine A Room. Apart from stage, he is also a voiceover artist and screen actor. A B.E. graduate, he has been interested in theatre since school and landing in Bangalore opened up the world of theatre to him. Since then he's been part of workshops and training programs to hone his craft and has worked with productions as backstage and technical help. He facilitates theatre workshops for children and adults. With Our Theatre Collective, he started as a trainee actor during a one year long intensive program and then as an actor along with handling administrative and operational activities of the collective.
Suranjay Patil
Trustee (Accounts), Playwright
Suranjay was a part of Bangalore based theatre group, ‘Tanariri’ for about 5 years and participated in more than 45 theatre shows in hindi/english. Recently, he has started working with ‘Our Theatre’, and ‘Adhura’ is his latest work in Hindi as a writer.
He also contributed to many initiatives of Our Theatre: Online Creation Series (Pyaade, Do Machaliyan, Udo), See-Saw, Eat-for-Art etc. He hails from Maharashtra (Sangli) and currently works in Bangalore, while pursuing theatre practice.

Poorvi Sardar
Trustee (Communication)
Poorvi has been associated with Our Theatre Collective since 2017. After training and performing with Our Theatre Collective (2017-2019), she continuee to support the communication aspect for OTC. Along with a full-time corporate job, she handles Our Theatre Collective’s social media presence and manages the communication related to events.
Sachin Ravindran
(Actor, collaborator, Theatre facilitator)
Sachin is an actor and singer. He is trained in Carntic music for eight years. He is also a Kalaripayattu practitioner. He worked as an architect for two years before deciding to pursue his passion for theatre, to that end he trained himself in acting and theatre making from the Drama School Mumbai (DSM). After graduating from DSM he has been worked with Our Theatre Collective, Bangalore briefly and for a year at Indianostrum Theatre, Pondicherry. He is trained in Therukoothu and Ottan Thullal, theatre forms from Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Currently, he is training in Thullal under Kalamandalam Suresh Kaliyath, for which he has received Inlaks Theatre award 2024.
His long term goal is to build a space for artists from all arenas to collaborate and create together.
